Most of the time this problem is caused due to leaving the door latch loosely locked. It looks like a door with slants that let the ice out. The other possibility is either the solenoid is frozen or failed, or the switch at the dispenser is out of position or been saturated by beverages splattered by ice dispensed into a full glass.
